Currently I am a doctoral candidate (documentary photography) and teach photojournalism at QCA (Queensland College of Art), Griffith University, on both the Gold Coast and South Bank campuses. I teach digital still photography, video and audio reportage, press photography and ethics, print and online publishing, and picture editing.

In my professional career, I’ve worked on assignment in places like Canada, USA, Japan, Austria, Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, Albania and Turkey. Internationally, my work has appeared in publications such as Marie Claire (UK), the BBC Online, Conde Nast Traveler, Time Out, The Globe and Mail, The Boston Globe, The Atlanta-Journal Constitution, The Ottawa Citizen, Pause (Japan), Marie Claire (Japan). I was the photo editor of The Prague Post in the Czech Republic from 1996-2003. In Australia, I’ve worked as a stringer for AFP and shot freelance for AAP, Newsltd., Fairfax and ACP publications.

I’m a member of NPPA, MEAA and Society for News Design. I’m also a member of Lightstalkers and the Pineapple Press Club, the Australian association for the advancement of photojournalism.
